Operation Phoenix aims to help individuals and families all year round. The stress of the season, mixed with financial woes, can be a lot for anyone to handle. Rising Potential Counseling LMSW, PLLC recognizes this fact and does its best to give aid at any moment. I'm not asking for the contribution to be a monetary one. I want to do with Operation Phoenix to help those less fortunate. I want to come together as one unit to help those in need. We all could use some joy in our lives, but more so individuals whom this pandemic has deadly impacted.
1. Things to create food baskets for those who don't have enough to feed their families
2. Toys for toddlers, young children, and adolescents
3. Winter clothing for children and teens
4. Just simple things that will bring a smile to families that have given up
I call this Operation Phoenix because, as many of you might know, the Phoenix is a mystical creature that rises from its ashes, and its tears bring about healing.
I acknowledge that this has been a tough year for us all. Everywhere that we look, there is violence and hate. I want to break this vicious cycle. Think back to this year and see how you have been blessed compared to the millions this pandemic has impacted. While busy in our own lives it's easy to forget that many families around the world are struggling just to put food on the table. This is the perfect opportunity to teach your children the value of giving to others during the holiday season by donating to a charity that provides gifts for children in need. Your kids may enjoy selecting presents for other children who are the same age as them.
Operation Phoenix believes that "Great Things" come in small packages and make their way into the hands of children all over the world. In this case, the package is a shoebox. A program run by Rising Potential Counseling LMSW, PLLC takes a collection of shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, apparel, candy, and a personal note. Select a child's age group and fill the box with items consistent for that age group. So please join me in making Operation Phoenix one to remember. Let's impact our community.
